Maxmize Your Shine
In 2019 Strictly Diesel began selling Fleece Engineering’s All Lights On® Modules that were designed for GM’s 2007.5 – 2019 Select Trucks, Cars and SUVs. The modules allow the vehicles high beams, low beams and fog lamps to operate simultaneously, allowing for a brighter and clearer view of the road. This isn’t a product Strictly Diesel sells on its online store, but we wanted to get the word out that it was a product we carry.
Typically speaking, our Print/Billboard campaigns are geared towards the company’s branded products. Consequently, this ad campaign was designed to be digital only and ran on the Company’s repair site and on all of our social media platforms.
I built this ad from the ground up, using our shop managers truck, which I shot behind a nearby Walmart and a skyline photo I shot the year before. I then added the lighting effects and other elements in Photoshop. The Fleece modules were shot just as they appeared in the ad.
For this project; I set up a camera in front of my desk with a 3-light setup. I then included a white backdrop, white foam core board to serve as a cushion on the desk. To help me nail the shot, I used a remote trigger and made space in my “light tent.” This setup allowed me toss the modules in the air, while I shot. After about an hour or more worth of shots, until I captured the shot you see in the ad! Don’t ask how many it took. I lost count.
Every so often, you get an idea, and you just have to run with it and see if you can do it…
Although you won’t see this product on Strictly Diesel’s website, click over and check us out anyway! The link is down below.
