Future Olympians

NBC and Its Affiliates has held the American broadcasting rights to the Summer Olympic Games since 1998 and the Winter Olympic Games since 2002.  So ahead of the 2008 Summer Olympics in Beijing, Newschannel 9 took the opportunity to run a special segment starting in April of 2008 and ran throughout the olympics. The segment highlighted local and regional athletes competing on a national level; in hopes of making the US Olympic Teams. I designed this logo to help brand and promote that segment.

I designed the athletes, torch and eternal flame in illustrator. The granite and steel look were added in photoshop, which was the conceptual design, but the bottom version was ultimately used.
